  • Use recycled and recyclable content in packaging
  • Use virgin materials only from sustainable sources
  • Reduce energy consumption during manufacture
  • Minimise carbon footprint during delivery (packaging miles)
  • Reduce the ecological impacts of packaging as waste
  • Design to reduce excess space and materials and increase ease of recycling
  • Design for adequate protection to eliminate waste from breakage in storage and transit
